All members are
required to serve on one of the following
committees.
AWARDS
COMMITTEE |
Establish
awards categories, set criteria,
and recommend recipients for
awards and recognition. |
BUDGET & FINANCE
COMMITTEE |
Develop
and manage annual budgets. Invest
or advise on appropriate investment
of funds in accordance with investment
policy and strategic plan. |
COMMUNICATIONS
COMMITTEE |
Develop
and guide the public relations
and image of the organization. |
DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE |
Plan,
implement, and manage all fundraising
events of organization: assist in
identifying fundraising opportunities,
cultivate relationships, and solicit
gift prospects for donations. Oversee
staff fundraising efforts and grant
writing. |
MEMBERSHIP
RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE |
Recruit
new members from throughout the Middle
Tennessee region in accordance with
the established membership criteria. |
NOMINATING
COMMITTEE |
Recommend
nominees for officers and board
of directors. |
PROGRAM
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE |
Identify,
create, organize, develop, and implement
programs consistent with the mission
of the 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee. |
STRATEGIC
PLANNING COMMITTEE |
Develop,
monitor, and modify long- term
strategic plan consistent with
the perpetual mission and future
goals of the organization. |
SUPPORT
NETWORK COMMITTEE |
Develop,
recruit, train, and oversee volunteer
resource necessary to staff programmatic
activities of organization. |
| TECHNOLOGY
COMMITTEE |
Develop
and utilize technology as an infrastructure
for efficient communications between
members, our local office and national
headquarters; utilize technology
for the rapid acquisition of information
and research; and utilize technology
as a method to market the organization
and enhance fundraising capabilities. |
